The word it out…we are back, with a bigger and better Byblos. The Ghanem Groups much loved Byblos has been closed for the past four weeks undergoing an exciting makeover. Friday the 15th of August when the doors were reopened to the public, the new look was revealed!

Byblos Bar and Restaurant, located on the river at Portside Wharf in Hamilton has been a hot spot for the past 8 years and the luxurious modern Middle Eastern fit out, stunning water views, great music and authentic Lebanese cuisine will see its popularity continuing to grow.

The vision of brothers Adonis and Nehme Ghanem has seen new textures of plush leathers, rich oaked timbers, smooth stone and lux velvets introduced to the pallet and an extraordinary lighting installation of Ancient and new worlds combined.

The new interior includes an extended dining room suitable for 100 guests, revamped bar and Lounge spacing and as always the fabulous outdoor area to kick back with a cocktail and take in the stunning waterfront view.

The Byblos menu is built on a foundation of classic, traditional Mediterranean recipes and culinary techniques including Lebanese specialties like Kebbi Nayeh, Lahim Bil Ajeen, Rekakat, Makanek and Sambusek all prepared with a contemporary touch and Chef Ihsan Deeb’s own personal influence. The new menu see’s a new take on the classic Char-Grilled Chicken and the return of an old favourite, the Seayadeyeh!

The recently awarded Ghanem Group beverage team, Aaron Clarke and Penny Grant have done an overhall with new list. True to existing reputation, the new Byblos drinks list has a strong influence of spring cocktails and is broken up into three categories, sweet, sour and strong. The wine list is set to be food friendly and approachable and has a strong influence of classic Australian wines.

We are really excited to show off Byblos with a new décor and design and for those who book early, the opportunity to be one of the first to experience the new chapter of Byblos Bar and Restaurant.
